Pforzheim: Competition won!

After winning the competition, we will be commissioned to elaborate the �Create!� image for the city of Pforzheim�s creative cluster. The website, image brochure and flyer are planned for publication in the next few months.

The catalogue project �Joseph Beuys, Parallel Processes� is now into the final stage. We are creating a luxury four-hundred-page volume for Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, with roughly twenty tons of colour-printed paper and around 250kg of fat. Fat? Yes, fat.

It seems we didn�t make it too easy for the judging panel to reach their decision. Unfortunately, we were only runners-up in the second stage. The concept of our illuminated signage objects integrates static and dynamic information.

Frankfurt/Berlin: Five nominations for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany

The German Design Council and the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs have nominated five of our projects for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition to the signage systems for Benaqua and Munich Technology Centre, these are the three book designs �Concrete Art�, �Three. The Triptych in the Modern Age� and �Zhang Huan�.

A total of four books featuring our works were published last month. We contributed one design to �Typo Lyrics� by Birkh�user publishers, �new exhibition design� documents several projects, and several of L2M3�s works were distinguished at �100 Best Posters� and the �ADI Design Award� in China and therefore feature in the current annuals.

Offenbach: Appointment to HfG

Sascha Lobe has been given a permanent appointment at the Offenbach Academy of Art and Design (HfG) as of summer semester 2010, where he will be assuming the chair of typography for the communication design course specialisation.
The Hessian HfG counts among the country�s most renowned centres of design, taking first place in the university ranking conducted by Focus magazine.

Daimler AG celebrates the 125th anniversary of the invention of the motor car in 2011. Winning an invited competition is reason for us to celebrate today: in the next few months we will be carrying out our design concept for the company�s chronicles.

Munich: Four prizes at the iF Awards

Nearly 1700 entries from 26 countries are competing at this year�s iF Awards. Four of our projects nominated for the final round have now won an award.
We have been distinguished for our versatility, receiving prizes in three different media. The winning projects are the catalogues �Plakativ!� and the index of works from Willi Baumeister�s sketchbooks, the website of Pforzheim jewellery museum, and Ruhr Museum Essen � we developed the typographical design for this museum conceived by the HG Merz office.

Frankfurt: �Hofer wanted� receives award from adc

The expert jury of the Art Directors Club has distinguished �Hofer wanted� in the category �Communication in Space�. The integrated design concept for this exhibition developed in collaboration with the M�nzing agency has already received prizes from the DDC and at the iF Awards.

The 1st Graphic Design Biennale Germany China is taking place in Offenbach from 10 to 21 May. Sascha Lobe is one of three German speakers alongside Eike K�nig and Lothar Spree.

Germany�s youngest city � T�bingen with more than 24,000 students � is installing information boards designed by us. Part of a comprehensive tourist guide system that we developed, they point out historic features and explain the old town.

Our concept has swayed the jury of Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen and we have won the competition to design the �Joseph Beuys. Parallelprozesse� catalogue. Date of publication: 11 September 2010, in time for the exhibition of the same name at K20.
